Jan Mituniewicz the MIDDLE of three children was born July 23, 1955 to parents Jim and Betty Welborn at Emanuel hospital in Portland, Oregon. In 1965 the family moved to Milwaukie, Oregon where Jan attended Bilquist Grade School, John McLoughlin Middle School and Clackamas High School. She graduated in 1973 and attended Clackamas Community College for a short time. While in high school Jan and some of her friends were out one weekend evening "cruising broadway" in downtown Portland where she and Ron crossed paths (possibly because they were both Middle children) and they became high school sweethearts. Ron and Jan were married May 21, 1977 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, in Redland, Oregon. In 1985 they began a lifelong venture of small business ownership. They started with the purchase of a concession wagon from which they sold Hawaiian Shaved Ice. They took their "weenie wagon" to several county fairs and parks. During this time many family members would offer their help accompanying them to these events. Later Ron started an excavation company, N2 Excavation, with Jan by his side the entire time. One of the many activities Jan enjoyed was riding quads on the dunes. This was something shared with several family members and friends. Let's not forget that when it was "race time" NASCAR, all else was forgotten for the time being, to find the nearest TV or even radio and tune in to the race. Mix riding on the dunes, NASCAR, lodging at the casino, numerous friends and you had what Jan called a "perfect weekend." Jan and Ron built Jan's "Dream Home" Whistler 1 in Sunriver, Oregon in 2002. She loved having a big kitchen for festive gatherings and then relaxing in the living room. Most of all Jan enjoyed being with friends and family.
