At her passing, she was the current president of the Pacific Northwest Chapter for Quilts for Kids, an organization that donates quilts to kids in need. Jacky was baptized as a member of the LDS church at age 14. She loved to learn about the church teachings, study the history of the church and research her ancestry. She even became a sister missionary and served by helping people find employment. Jacky also loved a road trip. Most recently, she meshed her love of genealogy and road trips by visiting the land of her ancestors in Nova Scotia.
