Ivan August Gemar

Ivan began life\u0027s journey in Fullerton, ND, on the farm. He was the 14th child of August and Sophie Gemar. He moved to Oregon in 1955 and met Shirley Michel, whom he married in 1958. God gave them a son, David, and a daughter Melody, for whom he provided well. He was employed for 27 years by White Motor Company and served as treasurer and custodian at Central Bible Church for 35 years. He faithfully cared for Shirley through illness for 20 years, while working full-time, until she passed in 1991. He met Barbara Stewart shortly after and they married in 1992. Her vibrant and caring heart brought him much joy as they spent the next 21 years traveling and loving their growing family before her passing in 2013. Ivan is survived by two sisters, Ida and Cora, and his brother Harold. The children, spouses, grandchildren and many friends of Ivan Gemar will miss his ambition and quiet spirit."",
