Born in Corona CA. graduated from Corona High School. In 1940, enlisted in the Navy and served five years; with four years on the USS Indianapolis during WWII and earned nine battle stars. After his time in the service, he entered into the insurance business in San Francisco, and later attended Portland State. He retired as branch manager for the New Hampshire Insurance Group. After retirement performed inspections and surveys for insurance companies and agents. Enjoyed a lifetime of golf, and in his early years was a body surfer. Loved humor and liked to make people laugh; loved people. Played clarinet in the Graham Cracker Band for various charities. Belonged to the Blue Goose Org. in later years. Survived by wife Shirley, daughters Linda Casey (Tim) and Patti Sandercock (Cliff), step daughter Kathy Campiteli, Two sisters: Nita Weddington and Peggy Neale, grand children Jennifer Poirier, Michael Sandercock, and Melissa Casey, great grand children Zachary and Ellie Sandercock, seven step grand children, and four step great grand children.
