Harold Lee Knapp was born on October 24, 1938 to Charles and Ola Knapp. He attended Blessed Sacrament and Central Catholic High school. He began his first job selling newspapers on the street corner at the age of 6, and had a job of some sort until he joined the Army. There he went to aircraft maintenance school, primarily for helicopters, but also for fixed wing aircraft. He then went on to flight school. He also taught in that field during his lengthy time in the Army. Upon leaving the Army, he went to work for Hughes Aircraft-helicopter division as a tech rep and spent a year in Viet Nam helping them keep their aircraft maintained. He ultimately left Southern California to return to his beloved Oregon and spent the next 20 years in automobile maintenance. When he retired he and his wife, Judi spent their winters in Baja, CA, Mexico sitting on the beach on the Sea of Cortez. Harold was a avid fisherman and golfer. He is predeceased by his sister, and leaves two sisters, his wife, four children and seven grandchildren."",
