He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eula; 3 children, Christine Engelgau, Larry Decker, \u0026amp; Sheryl Phillips and their spouses. He has 9 grandchildren, their spouses and and 12 great-grandchildren. He was in the United States Army in Germany at the end of WWII,and was recalled for a year of duty in 1950. He worked for U.S. Bank,from 1967-1986, and retired as a building planning officer. Gerard enjoyed traveling, and saw every state and province in North America, and a total of 5 continents.
