Eloise Elizabeth Lissit (Jensen) was born on Jan 13th, 1962, in San Francisco, CA, to Carolyn and William Jensen. She has two surviving sisters, Sharon and Cindy.
Eloise passed away on July 19th after fighting cancer and other health issues for over 7 years. During that time she remained upbeat, happy and optimistic, which was her true nature.
She is survived by her husband, Scott, and daughter, Abigail.
She graduated from Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego, OR, and from Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR, where she majored in Finance. After graduating she worked on Capital Hill in Washington DC for Oregon Senator Bob Packwood. She then moved to Detroit, MI to work at the EDS Corporation. She had project management and consultant positions at Ameritech and Kaiser Permanente during her career.
She married Scott Lissit in November, 1999, in Maryland, where they lived until 2006 when they moved back to the Portland area.
Eloise had many diverse interests and talents. In the 1990s she graduated from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, and then took a leave of absence from work to start a private Healing practice. She had a talent for seeing people’s “energy fields”, and intuitively knew where their illnesses were and how to help them heal from whatever they were suffering from.
In addition to her healing practice, she also was a certified Hypnotherapist, and started a business in Portland called Elle’s HypnoCafe. She had an entrepreneurial streak, starting two other companies: Healthy Spaces, and Quintessence Healing. Her hobbies included piano playing, games, sewing, and crafts.
Eloise was a loving wife, mother, and friend, and always went out of her way to make sure other people’s needs were met and they felt recognized and valued for just being themselves.
There will be a private Celebration of Life on Sept 1st in Milwaukie, OR.
