Eleanor R. Kreipe

October 13, 1915 — December 22, 2011

Eleanor Kreipe (maiden name Krische) passed away December 22 - three days before her favorite holiday - Christmas. Her 96 year life\u0027s trail began in Kansas City as the fourth born of 11 children. Eleanor and Drew Kreipe, the love of her life, were married in Topeka, Kansas shortly after the beginning of WWII and were married 42 years. They traveled together to Portland, Oregon where Drew started his engineering career supporting the war effort. Eight children quickly followed and there are many stories that filled her with rich memories. Drew preceded her in death by 27 years. She continued to be very active in church and social service causes that earned her the respect and admiration of many friends and family. Eleanor and Drew were longtime parishioners of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in north Portland. Family was everything to Eleanor - and in her final days and hours she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her last few years were spent in the loving care of Clackamas View Senior Living to whom family extends grateful appreciation. Eleanor is survived by 3 of 11 siblings, 7 children, 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, December 30, 2011 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Milwaukie, OR. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
