Elaine was born to George & Katherine Poulos on March 8, 1944 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She is a person hard to put into words. Elaine lived the definition of a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She made an impact on everyone she came in contact with for the better and always made everyone feel welcome. Elaine was always willing to lend a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, or a friend to laugh with, even if she had only just met you.
She worked hard everyday for 50 plus years with her late husband, Michael Karussos at their own business, Spirit of Life, Inc; providing health and life insurance out of Portland, Oregon. They had an incredible reputation of not only helping people but building relationships with everyone they did business with.
Elaine and Michael lived a true fairytale love story. They were always laughing, showing each other affection and worked as a team. They spent every single day together, and that is exactly how they liked it. We know they will happily spend eternity by each other's side watching over us all. They loved helping people, the way they loved each other.
Elaine was the most wonderful mother and grandmother a child could ask for. She made Christmas and birthdays magical, and always went the extra mile with her cakes. It may be lopsided and bright yellow, but it's gonna taste great! No matter what stresses may have been occurring, she always made time to do special things for the people she cared about and always had time for family.
What we will miss the most, are the loving and calming hugs she so willingly provided. She always had the ability to make you feel better and that everything will be okay. Her positive outlook, her faith in people and the abundance of never-ending love will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving children, Jami, Stace and Tiffany; three grandchildren, Maison, Alexa and Ariana; sisters, Paulette Rishard and Fran Attwood; brother-in-law, Don Aspros; nieces, Elisa Poynter and Marcia Alex; and nephew, James Aspros. Elaine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Michael S. Karussos in January 2021; her brother, Fr. Sam G. Poulos in 2010 and sister-in-law, Presvytera Dimitra Poulos in 1983.
