Dorothy Anne Grenier passed away peacefully in the Health Center at Rose Villa in Milwaukie, OR. She was born in Abbotsford, BC. to Robert Butler and Nora Smith Butler. When Dorothy was five months old, the family moved to Oregon. After attending several area schools, she graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1937. She met and married Mike Grenier in 1941. Her brothers, John and Robert and her husband predeceased her. Dorothy is survived by her children, Janet (Richard) Enger, Robert (Denise) Grenier and Charles (Teresa) Grenier. There are five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a homemaker and caregiver in the middle years of her marriage, raising 3 active children and caring of her invalid Mother for ten years. She and Mike had a brief period to enjoy traveling after the kids were raised and her Mother had died. Following Mike\u0027s early death (age 59), Dorothy sought employment and worked in several elementary schools in North Clackamas Schools as a librarian\u0027s assistant. After retiring, she attended Clackamas Community College earning her AA degree at age 63. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood ( DS Chapter ). She volunteered many places including the Milwaukie Ledding Library, Oregon Food Bank and the Red Cross. Her great passions were traveling and family. She made at least 30 trips overseas, visiting all the continents including Antarctica. Family was always central to Dorothy\u0027s life; she loved to gather her children and relatives for enjoyable Sunday dinners, Holidays, summer picnics, hiking, rafting and travel. With her friends she enjoyed clamming and playing bridge. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 7 at West Linn Lutheran Church, 20390 Willamette Dr. West Linn. Luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oregon Humane Society or a charity of your choice."",
