Dorothea Morrissey passed away peacefully July 31, 2023, at the age of 92. She was born May 18, 1931, to Marion and Alexander Bader in Portland, OR. Dorothea’s childhood was spent in the Multnomah Village area. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1949.
While working at NW Marine Iron Works, she met her future husband, Chuck. They were married on September 13, 1953, and moved to Sherwood, OR. There they had a farm and grew prunes until 1968, when they moved to Portland. Dorothea had a variety of recordkeeping and secretarial jobs throughout the years. In 1999, they moved to the Milwaukie area.
Dorothea enjoyed a variety of crafts and knitting. She was on a bowling team until just a few years ago. She and Chuck enjoyed many years of camping and water skiing at Detroit Lake, Lake Cushman, and other locations. In their later years, they enjoyed traveling in their motor home and spent the cold months in Hemet, CA.
Dorothea was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck in 2010. She is survived by their daughter, Theresa Hawkins (Paul); grandchildren, Kevin Hawkins, and Leslie Davisson (Justin); additional family members, Sam, Julie, Jackie, Alexis, and Dan; and several others near & far.

Dorothea will be entombed with Chuck at a private service at Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, OR.
