Dori was born in Portland, Oregon on January 22nd, 1962 to Raymond T. Thompson, Jr. and Edeane LaDora (Davis) Thompson.
Dori attended Milwaukie schools where she made lifelong friends. On February 18th, 1989 Dori married Michel Duane Abernathy.
Dori was a homemaker who loved animals of all kinds, but horses held a special place in her heart. She excelled at Photography and found great happiness catching timeless and special moments for family and friends. You could find her filling her days with sewing, knitting, crocheting, researching ancestry, gardening, and spending time with friends and family. Without any doubt she loved her children, and pets beyond measure. She valued her family and friends above all else. She was loyal, witty, decent, kind, passionate, and smart. She loved a good joke, big hugs, and she liked teasing more than anyone.
Life is better for her presence because of her enduring love, as well as the legacy that she has left in the form of her two beautiful children, Truman and Makenzie.
Dori passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones after a short battle with cancer.
