Donald Raymond Tonagel

Don was born November 9, 1928 in La Porte, Indiana to Cecil and Ruby Tonagel. Don was raised in Ainsworth Indiana and graduated from Merrillville High School in 1946. He served in the USMC and fought in WW2 until he was honorably discharged in 1948. He co-owned an auto garage shop when he met Rosalie and they were married September 22, 1951. They lived in Crown Point, IN, Syracuse NY, and Racine WI before settling in the Pacific NW in 1960. Don was a fluid power engineer until he retired in 1997. He was a lifetime member if the MT Hood Masonic Lodge, the American Legion and the Woodburn Christian Church. Don is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rosalie, son Dale (Linda) of Monmouth, daughter Dar (Steve) of Fairview, sister Carole (Dale) Cobble of Hobart, IN, Grandchildren: Brandi (Don) Taylor of Monmouth, Josh Muma of Gresham, Jessica (Jeremy) Fitzgerald of Canaan ME, Jeremy (Rachel) Muma of Gresham, Joanna (Michael) Gunderson of Corvallis and 5 great grandchildren, Kristin, Kyle \u0026amp; Kolby Taylor and Julia \u0026amp; Joshua Fitzgerald.
