Donald Clifford Gay passed away in his home in Milwaukie, Oregon on May 21, 2016, from complications of cancer. Don was born in Eugene, OR on June 7, 1936, one of nine siblings. He worked extensively throughout Oregon on construction projects ranging from the Trojan Nuclear plant, man bridges through Oregon, the first phase of the light rail line, and countless buildings and developments. He was a proud member of the laborers union, and was well known for his extraordinary work ethic and his ability to get the job done when no one else could. He was a self taught musician, who played the guitar and mandolin among other instruments. He composed many original songs. He was a man possessed of great strength and resiliency -- a calloused exterior from a life of hard labor, over a soft heart who had time and kindness for everyone, and he loved deeply. He is survived by his wife Judy Gay, his son Bronson James, step son Billy Fields and step daughter Tessa Fields. He also leaves his granddaughter Sidonie James. He will be greatly missed."",
