Donald was born in Portland, Oregon to Donald and Filbena Boyles. He served in the US Navy as a Machinist Mate. Don was a past Worshipful Master of the Lents Masonic Lodge #156. He worked for the Portland Water Bureau and Walmart in Woodburn after his retirement from the Water Bureau.
He married the love of his life, Virginia C. Frentheway on July 7, 1959. They enjoyed traveling from border to border and west coast to east coast, along with camping and fishing the Oregon coast. They lived in Portland and Clackamas until they lost their home when the Clackamas River overflowed and then moved to Woodburn in 1998.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Filbena; brother, Phillip and his wife, Virginia. He is survived by his daughter, Christina Fosdick and husband, Scott; sister, Barbara Haldum and husband, Andy; grandchildren, Brandy and Christopher Fosdick and two great grandchildren.
