Dina passed away from a long battle with Multiple Myeloma on August 16th 2013. Dina was born in Longview Washington but grew up in Cologne New Jersey where she was a member of the Moravian church and graduated from Oak crest High school in 1966. After Graduation she worked at her fathers surveying company and later met and married Bill Black on April 19th 1969 in Linwood New Jersey. After starting a family she and her husband and 2 children as well as her parents Chuck and Selma moved to Oregon in 1980. Once settled in Oregon, Dina worked at McLaughlin Medical Clinic as a receptionist and worked her way up to office manager. Then in 1987 she made a career change and started working part time at BiMart in Oregon City and worked her way up to pharmacy tech and then later to management. At Bimart Dina was loved by many and a stranger to few Customers and employees alike. After being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in April 2011 she received a stem cell transplant in December 2011. While battling the cancer she received amazing care from the team at Compass Oncology including Dr. Fielders as well as Dr. Hulmiug at Good Samaritan hospital. While in remission she attended the Light the Night Walk for blood cancer research as well as taking up some new hobbies of quilting and cross stitch. Dina will be remembered for her selfless nature, humor, ability to gab and tell a story and for being a wonderful Wife, Daughter, Mother, Mommom and friend. She is survived by her husband Bill, Mother Selma, Daughters Patti and Stacey, Son- in Law Sev, and three grandchildren Paige, Issiah and Kym Bently. The world is a better place for her having lived, We are better for having known her, though her life many have ended too soon it was a life filled with love and laughter.
