On August 18, 2017, we said goodbye to our beautiful and loving Deanna "Dee" Gaffke. She left us at 78 years young, after losing her hard-fought battle with brain cancer. Dee was surrounded by her loving family in her home in Gladstone, Oregon.
Dee was born on October 23, 1938 in Oregon City, Oregon, to the late Fred and Laura Stefani. She attended Canby High School and Oregon State University. She thoroughly enjoyed athletics, was an avid fan of college football and the Portland Trailblazers.
She enjoyed cooking, water sports, downhill skiing and square dancing. Dee had many adventures with her loving husband, Kenneth Gaffke. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dee enjoyed a long and distinguished career at the City of Wilsonville and volunteered at many organizations after her retirement, always focusing her time and attention to her family and her faith. Dee led many bible studies at home and church, focusing especially on women and senior groups.
Dee is survived by her husband, Kenneth Gaffke; their blended family of six children, Laurie Imholt, Elizabeth Greenslitt, Rena Whittaker, Sherri Salas, Suzanne Gaffke, Mark Gaffke and their spouses; and together they share seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Dennis Stefani; his wife, Cheri and their children.
