Cliff was the second of three children born to Elmer and Louis(Kummer) Walstrom on Sept. 25, 1917. He went to school in Oregon City where he met his wife Irene Benoit. Cliff attended Vanport College where he majored in Engineering. In October of 1939 He and Irene were married. In 1940, Cliff entered the Army Air Corps where he persued his dream of flying. Cliff stayed in the Army Air Corps until 1945, when he transferred to the Air Force Reserves. During his lifetime Cliff lived in Nebraska and managed an airport. While in Washington D.C he worked for the Bureau of Standards in High altitude jet engine testing. In Walla Walla, Washington he worked for Bonneville Power and then in Portland he worked for and retired from the Army Corps of Engineers. Cliff is lovingly survived by his 3 children: Nancy Bangert, Gary Walstrom and Terry Walstrom. He is a grandfather to 2 and a great grandfather to 1.
