She worked for a couple years in the kitchen of Willamette View Manor, where she took advantage of their swimming pool for daily exercise, she loved to swim! In 1971, Charleen was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and it forever changed her life.
She devoted her early life to raising her children and maintaining a loving foundation at home. Her humor, laughter, and giggles were infectious to all whom she met. Charleen loved to go to the pool for a swim, take long rides in the country or the coast, baking delicious pies and bread, gardening, crocheting, and spending time with her dog. She also dedicated time as a member of the Vision Northwest support group.
Along with her parents, Charleen was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 1985; and her brothers, Fuller (1985), and Tom (2005).
