Carrol Burbank

September 8, 1945 — November 22, 2016

Carrol Loreen Burbank passed away at St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland on November 22, 2016, surrounded by her family. Carrol is survived by her husband, son, daughter, two sisters, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was an avid quilter who enjoyed giving back to her community. She participated in charity quilt donating hundreds to the boy's ranch, Willamette falls, women's shelter and many more. She enjoyed spending time with those less fortunate at the St. Henry's food kitchen and always making sure she had a trunk full of socks, water and food in case she came across someone in need. One can't help but smile thinking of the many traffic laws she would break when she saw a homeless person or a quilt shop. Carrol also founded Nar-anon groups in Southwest Washington and Northwest Oregon, helping families through the disease of addiction. She changed so many lives, had the kindest, most generous soul. She is an angel that will be missed greatly by all who knew her. As Carrol, always said "It is what it is and let go and let God." So, now is the time to honor Carrol the way she wanted to be remembered and keep her name alive within all her endeavors. She requested that no flowers be sent but instead donations be made to: Nar-anon 23110 Crenshaw Blvd. #A Torrance, CA. 90505"",
