Loving Son, Father, and Brother
Carey Dean Ancell, age 50, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Orchids Adult Care Home in Clackamas, Oregon. Carey died from Niemann-Pick disease and fought the disease for most of his life.
Carey was born December 3, 1963 in Ballard, Washington to Wayne and Betty Ancell and lived in Aloha, Oregon for the first half of his life.
Carey was a family man and loved by all that knew him. He had a heart of gold, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Loyalty was one of his best attributes. He found joy in meeting new people and making friends came easy to him.
Carey was a lover of sports and enjoyed playing baseball and football. In recent years, his passion moved to watching sports on TV. He felt most accomplished by his children. Carey's proudest moments were when Joe and Justine were born.
Carey's family describes him as a very hard worker, a fighter, a jokester, a story teller, and a lover of food and animals. He will always be remembered for his contagious laughter and smile. Most of all he loved a cold beer and a Marlboro cigarette. Although he will be missed, he is now at peace.
Carey is survived by his parents, Wayne Ancell and Betty Roussos; step-parents, Tony Roussos and Kris Ancell; brother, Steven Ancell; sister, Stacey Brown; son, Joseph Ancell; and daughter, Justine Rose.
