Billie Jean Hayes

Billie Jean Hayes, daughter of John and Opal Swan, passed on to glory on January 15, 2010. She was born January 20, 1940 and was named Billie Jean Swan. She lived most of her life in Portland, and attended Franklin High School. Billie met her husband, Seth Hayes, while managing Milwaukie Town Homes. She had a daughter, Valerie Stratton, who had 3 children; Jamie of Grants Pass who has 2 sons; Stephanie, who has one son; Stephanies twin Chris. Stephanie lives in Gresham; Chris in Portland. So Billie Jean had one daughter, 3 grandchildren, and 3 great - grandchildren. Billie had ongoing physical challenges the last years of her life, finally that Big Heart of hers could go no longer. Billie worshipped and adored our Lord Jesus, and was an ongoing soul winning wonder. During periods of hospitalization, when at her weakest, she would often lead others to Christ, bringing salvation in the midst of pain and suffering. We shall miss her dearly! She was an inspiration to many and a loving friend to all. Billie was the perfect wife, spending very little and cooking fantastic meals. She was humorous, intelligent and gorgeous. We will miss you Billie Jean, because part of our hearts are aching for you, and part of our hearts are happy for your unity with Christ. Goodbye Billie, untill we meet again."",
