Beverly Jean ‘B.J.’ Mussetter passed away February 14, 2024, at OHSU in Portland, OR, at the age of 89 with her girls by her side.
She was born in Portland, OR, as Peggy Lou Bales and was adopted by her loving parents, Morris & Helen Millikan.
She grew up in Portland and graduated from St. Mary’s boarding school. She continued her education up until she was 50 years old, where she graduated from Clackamas Community College with her Masters in Art.
B.J. attended Gladstone Christian Church in 2003 where she was rebaptized. She joined the Seasonal Saints and missionary team. There, she met and fell in love with the love of her life, Frank Mussetter. They were married in front of their family and friends on June 11, 2005.
She enjoyed creating her artwork. She was an amazingly talented woman who loved music and played several different instruments. She loved camping, travel and spending time with her family. She also loved teaching her young grandchildren art and music.
B.J. was preceded in death by her oldest son, Daniel, only to join him once more. She is survived by her husband, Frank; children, Sabrina, Mark, Suzette, Keely (Kelly), Liesa (Darren), Kristi (David); 20 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life and Reception will be held 2:30 PM, Friday, March 1, 2024, at Stehn Family Chapels Milwaukie Tribute Center in Milwaukie, OR. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in B.J.'s name to the Alzheimer's Association at
