Betty Stewart of Milwaukie Oregon died December 13, 2018 at the age of 91.\u0026nbsp; She was born in Portland Oregon on May 23 , 1927 to Jesse and Mary Sorrell, and was the third of three children.\u0026nbsp; Betty grew up in the Ardenwald area of Milwaukie attending Ardenwald Grade school, Milwaukie Jr. High and Milwaukie High school. While in Portland, Betty met the love of her life, a navy sailor by the name of Herman Stewart who she later nicknamed Jim. Their 73rd wedding anniversary would have been December 28, 2018.\u0026nbsp; Betty worked as a distribution sales manager for Stanley Home Products for 22 years.\u0026nbsp; After retirement she devoted the remainder of her life to her family. During their marriage Betty and Jim raised six children: Mary Hodges of Lacey Washington, John Stewart of Milwaukie , Patricia Stewart of Milwaukie , Linda Palmer of Milwaukie, Steve Stewart of Milwaukie and Susan Broqvist of Filipstad Sweden.\u0026nbsp; She loved and cherished her 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.\u0026nbsp; Everyone who knew Betty knew of her strong faith and love of her family.\u0026nbsp; She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Dell Sorrell and Robert Sorrell. \u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; A private service will be held.\u0026nbsp; To send a flower arrangement or to plant trees in memory of Betty Ruth Stewart, please click here to visit our Sympathy Store."",
