Betty Moore, age 91 from Portland, OR, passed away Tuesday, Sep. 10th in Milwaukie, OR. Betty was born in Portland to Charles and Lillian McBride. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, followed by a 3:00 pm Celebration of Life at Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church. Betty was born and raised in Portland. When WWII broke out she and her sister, Georgia, joined the Army together. After basic training Betty was assigned to Palm Springs and soon became a parachute rigger. During her service she married Lawrence W. Moore, also from Portland, before she was discharged in Memphis, TN. She was a homemaker as well as assisting with her husband\u0027s upholstery business. She was a proud member of the American Legion Women\u0027s Post. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 6 brothers and sisters and her daughter Carol Speckman. She is survived by her sons Larry (Chere) and Walt (Connie); her daughter Mary (Grant) Murrell; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Donations may be made to the American Legion,
