Betty Jean (Gates) Clonts was born on May 15th, 1928, to Willetta \u0026amp; Lowell Gates in LaHabra, California. She passed away in Gresham, Oregon on April 13th, 2013 at the age of 84. Betty spent her early years in the Boise, Idaho area before moving to the Portland area where she attended Jane Adams High School. Betty enjoyed working on her Family History and loved to cook, bake, crochet, puzzles, crossword books, and playing bingo. Early in her life she worked at the Portland Post Office and Kienows. While raising her family, she sold Tupperware and Avon. Betty also worked at the Genealogy Library and was a care giver. She is survived by her daughters Regina K. Rosebrook of Gresham, Oregon, Roberta Holmes (Mel) of Wamic, Oregon, Marie Clayton (Ed) of Ketchikan, Alaska, Irma DeTour of Phoenix, Arizona, Frances Day of LaPine, Oregon and sons Randy Bentz (Meng Meng) of Hillsboro, Oregon, Ron Bentz of Portland, Oregon, and Carl Clonts of Walla Walla, Washington. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, her sister Emma Kaufman (Cliff) of Portland, Oregon and many nieces, nephews and friends. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held Saturday, May 4th, 2013 at the Community Center of Good Samaritan Society Fairlawn Village, 3457 NE Division Street in Gresham, Oregon at 2:00 PM.
