Anthony "Tony" Roger Swan, (B. October 15, 1954 D. September 2, 2013) Tony was born to parents known only to themselves and was placed into loving foster care at two weeks of age with Walter and Eunice Swan and family. Tony was a beautiful and bright baby and was the delight of the Swan family. After being placed with an adoptive family he suffered a serious injury that was to affect the rest of his life. Tony was returned to the Swan family for recuperation after a long hospital stay and became the wonderful son and brother that we all knew and loved. Tony attended Lewelling Grade School, Rowe Middle School and graduated from Milwaukie High School. Athletic endeavors that included many hours of bowling and several Special Olympics events were Tony's special love. He earned 252 medals during his career that was crowned by a Gold Medal at the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai, China. Tony was predeceased by brother Steve (Bea), and is survived by brothers Walt (Dianne), Stan (Chris) and sister Sarah Mans (Ray), longtime girlfriend Sandi Foster, many nieces and nephews and all his friends with Special Olympics and the Portland Parks and Recreation Bureau. We loved his wonderful smile and laugh, great sense of humor and lovely gentle manner. His mother Eunice would often call him her barefoot boy with cheeks of tan. We will miss him more than he could ever have imagined. A memorial gathering will be held at East Portland Community Center, 740 SE 106th Ave, Portland 97216 at 3:00 PM Monday September 23rd. Donations to Special Olympics would be a great way to remember Tony. They can be sent to: Special Olympics Oregon, PO Box 90214, Portland OR, 97290."",
