Anne Elizabeth Moore passed away April 10th, 2011 at her home in Milwaukie, OR. Anne was born August 19th, 1954 in Amsterdam, NY to parents Harold and Patricia Hay. Anne grew up in Ilion, NY attending both the Ilion Catholic primary and Middle schools and finishing at Ilion High School. She was married to Thomas D. Moore on January 16, 1971. Thom. served in the U.S. Air Force which afforded them both the opportunity to go onto college and travel from coast to coast. They lived in New York State, Mississippi, Maine, Utah and moved to Corvallis, OR in 1986. The couple later moved to Battleground, WA, Winchester, OR finally settling in Milwaukie, OR. Anne took advantage of the different areas in which she and Thomas lived to visit and vacation at the many wonders the states and regions had to offer. Some highlights included: Yellow Stone, Crater Lake, Grand Teton, Yosemite, Canyon lands, Bryce, Mt. Saint Helens, Mt. Rainer National parks. Disneyland was a favorite for family fun and she enjoyed many vacations there with her son, nieces and nephews. She (they) thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, especially boating, tent camping and hiking. She loved bird watching and nature in general. Anne has also extensively visited 47 out of the 50 states including vacationing in Belize and Guatemala. Anne was ardent fitness fan and craved swimming and aerobics dancing. Anne had a keen passion for the arts and loved fine dining; wine \u0026amp; seafood with Merlot and Dungeness crab her favorites. Thomas and Anne have one child together, Thomas D. Moore II. She was an avid supporter of her son as a dedicated hockey mom for ten years. She actively supported and took tremendous pride in his service to his country in the US Navy. Anne was an Oregon State University Alumni, where she received three(3) Bachelors degree\u0027s, graduating with honors and was selected to membership in the Phi Kappa Phi \u0026amp; Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Societies. Anne had a passion for life. Highly organized, she was positive, active, vibrant and had the most addictive laugh. She never thought of herself, always putting others before her and when things got tough, she simply got tougher. Anne is preceded in death by her sister Emily Farrington. She is survived by her husband Thomas D. Moore of Milwaukie, OR; their son Thomas D. Moore II of Roseburg, OR; her mother and father; Harold and Patricia Hay of Peckville, PA; her in-laws Robert and Phoebe Moore of Ilion, NY; Her brothers Harold Hay Jr. of Dayton, OH, Daniel Hay of Scranton, PA and her sister Kathleen Simmons of Ilion, NY. Anne will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR. at a later date."",
