Anne Marie Hartman

Anne Marie Hartman, 53, of Plover, WI, died peacefully at the Cedar Crest Care Home, Tualatin, OR, Monday, August 13, 2018. Her death followed a seven-year battle with a rare degenerative neurological disorder.
Anne was born on June 30, 1965 in Montgomery, AL, the daughter of Lt. Col. William Weingarz and Joanne Caputo Weingarz. She married David Hartman at St. Michael Catholic Church in Portland, OR on May 19, 1995.
Anne was a 1983 graduate of Newberg High School in Newberg, OR. In 1988 she graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, where she was also a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. Anne worked for 10 years in the nutrition and medical fields before choosing to become a stay at home mother. Anne was also a proud Girl Scout and she achieved the highest scouting award of First Class. In the years preceding her illness, Anne was an active volunteer and Girl Scout Leader at St. Bronislava Grade School (Pacelli Catholic Schools) in Plover, WI.
Anne spent her life focusing on family and friends and was a wonderful wife and loving mother. She thoroughly enjoyed reading newly released books, knitting scarves, hats and purses for family and traveling to new places. Anne was always very close with her special sorority sisters and her good friends from the mother's group at St. Bronislava Grade School.
Anne will be greatly missed by her husband, David; children, Madeleine and Nicholas; mother, Joanne; sister, Jeanne (Scott) Schwarm; brothers, Bill Weingarz and Rick (Laura) Weingarz; uncle, Mark (Diane) Caputo; and all her family and friends. Anne was preceded in death by her father.
Special thanks to all family members, friends and caregivers, especially the wonderful staff at Cedar Crest, who have assisted and supported the family on this journey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 17 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Newberg, OR.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship for students will be established in Anne's name at Pacelli Catholic Schools, 1301 Maria Drive, Stevens Point, WI 54481.
