Andy Boyd Anderson Jr. was born December 11th 1929 to Andy Boyd Anderson Sr. and Maureen Piott Anderson. He was an only child. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas where he went to Stephen F. Austin High School and graduated in 1948. He then attended University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelors of Chemistry with a minor in math in 1953. He was also a member of the fraternity of Pi Kappa Alpha and continued to participate for life. Andy served in the United States Army from 1954 and had an honorable discharge in 1962. He married Barbara Jane Hoge in 1954 (preceded in death in 2015) and they had 5 children. Andy Don Anderson (wife Lisa), Maria Isabell Foy (husband Bryan), Susan Jane Vermillion (husband Norman), Eric Hoge Anderson (wife Kim), and Camilla Lea Collins (husband Randy). Andy worked for Staffer Chemical as Plant Super-intendent until he retired in 1989 and spent the remainder of his retirement doing whatever he wanted. Andy loved to travel and fish with his wife. They loved to take trips in their trailer to Reno, be camp hosts and visit various other places all over the North West. They visited Puerto Vallarta for many, many years and considered it one of their favorite vacation spots. Andy loved being at home, sitting on his patio listening to jazz and drinking a cold beer. Andy passed away suddenly at the age of 88 from an aggressive diagnosis of renal carcinoma. He passed peacefully at his daughters Maria Foy's home with his family and many grandchildren at his bedside on July 3rd 2018.
