Allen L. Matter

Allen Lynn Matter was born August 22, 1949 in Glad Valley, South Dakota. He was the first of five children born to Earl and Erma Matter. He passed away on March 17, 2019 surrounded by friends and family. He is survived by his 4 children, Christopher, Jeffrey (Elizabeth), Meghan and Sarah, and his two granddaughters, Lily and Peyton.\u0026nbsp; After he graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1967, he served one tour in the Vietnam War with the United States Army, after which he went to work as a foreman for the Safeway Warehouse, where he worked until he retired in 2005. He enjoyed spending time with family and his many friends, was a master on the grill, and was a sports fanatic, especially when rooting for the Oregon State Beavers and the Seattle Seahawks.
