Adonis F. Teach (Jones) passed away at the age of 91 from a prolonged illness in September 2024.
She grew up on a farm in South Dakota and was the second youngest of 11 children. She graduated high school and moved to California to join a couple of her older sisters and an older brother. Eventually, she made a move to Oregon with her first husband, Owen, where she spent 30 plus years as a meat wrapper for many different grocery chains, starting in Salem and Springfield, Oregon where she honed her craft. She then moved to the Portland metro area with her second husband, Ken, and eventually retired in Milwaukie, OR in 1995.
She was adored by many for her bright smile, sense of humor, unmistakable laugh, frosted chocolate brownies, and her willingness to help others.
She leaves her only child, daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Scott DeBruyn of Forest Grove who loved her more than words can express.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
